How to Host Our Website Domain To Web Hosting Services

How to Host Our Website Domain To Web Hosting Services
Well, as i previously said just buying custom domain for your website is not enough, let us see the list of things we must do after buying a custom domain. After buying a custom domain you need a host to protect your domain. Without hosting your domain if you try to open your blog with your new domain you will see an error that website is not found. There are both free and paid web hosting services online. We all know that paid is better than free but for beginners who cannot afford it I suggest you to go with free web hosting services. A list of free and best web hosting services is  FreeHostingEU, Biz.ht, 100Webspace, Byethost. I personally use the last one Byethost. So lets proceed to the procedure.

How to Host Our Website Domain To Web Hosting Services

NOTE: Come to this step only if you have already purchased a custom domain. If you have not yet purchased it then head back to this guide for previous step.

1) Register with any of the above given websites for free.

2) After the quick registration a message will be sent to your email address with details about your account like control panel username, control panel password, Ftp server, Ftp username, ftp password and some details.

3) After getting these details go to your account control panel by logging in.

4) Try to find name servers of your website which basically look like ns1.example.com or ns1.example.org by searching them in control panel. Usually you find these kind of name servers in options like Domain parking. What ever you do find these name servers in your web hosting control panel.

5) Name servers can be of any number. In my case, i mean in the control panel of my hosting website they provided me with five name servers. In some websites they can be only two or in some they can be three whatever it may be.

6) If you cannot find the name servers just drop a comment and i will tell you where to find them. After you successfully managed to find the name servers just keep the particular page opened till the process is completed.

7) Now its time to open your domain registering website. Log in to your domain registering website. Click domain forwarding option and in that you will find destination option. Set the destination to your blog by entering your blog address. If you want url masking(hiding your original url in address bar) then turn it on and save the settings. Now find a place to add the name servers you found in your hosting website. The options to add name servers can be different for different websites. I cannot tell you pin pointedly for all the websites but i will tell you some terms where name server settings are usually found. Try to find terms like Domain specific or Default name servers or Dns settings or dns management. Usually name server settings are found when clicked on these options. If you cannot find such options drop a comment and i will tell you the solution.

8) After you found the name server settings you will find boxes to enter the name servers like first or primary name server, second or secondary name server, third or tertiary name server. Some websites give you four boxes to enter. If you have only three name servers leave the fourth box or if you have five name servers and only three boxes to enter just enter the first three name servers and then click save.

9) After the change of settings it takes at least two days for all the computers in the world to get updated with the new domain.

10) Now try opening your blog by entering new domain. Before doing this clear browser cache and restart your browser. If everything went well then you will see your blog opening with your new domain. If you have got any error then drop a comment and i will solve it.

11) To test your website or blog loading speed and to run DNS diagnosis for your website click here.
